Phil Gott's visit to Ad

We visited Adam on Thursday and Friday. It is the first time we have seen him in York and we were very impressed with the place. He has a lovely room overlooking the garden and right next to the nurses station where there is always lots going on. The staff were incredibly attentive and caring and made us very welcome. They seemed to have a good relationship with Adam.
Adam seemed to give us his broad grin and the nurses said he does this when he recognises people's voices. He seemed very calm and happy.
We had hoped to take him out into the garden on the second day but the nurses cautioned against this because he had a slightly rattly chest. Whilst it was a shame we could not take him out into the sunshine we were pleased that his carers were right on top of the situation. Once when he coughed three of them came straight in to tend to him. What a change from LGI.
