FCO frustrations

The foreign office has constantly provided too little too late. It is appalling that they can get away with putting out statements to the media such as "The foreign office are assisting the family" when all this means is that they have given them a list of lawyers. It is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public into believing that they are there to look after our interests, when this is no longer true.

  Jo Schofield I read this article this morning and thought of you. They're an absolute disgrace and not fit for purpose. Sadly no one realises this until they desperately need assistance.

  Sue Hartle Interestingly enough, the BBC news, either yesterday or this morning, were commenting how discourteous and unhelpful these people are. Time this was looked at and changes made pdq.

  Shirley Kearns I would like to be able to send the select committee, the disgraceful response I received from the F&CO, in response to a request that they do more to assist Adam, Adele and Andrew. Even worse, apparently my MP thought I should be pleased with the response!
