ADAM HAS ARRIVED IN LEEDS SAFELY!!

Apologies for neglecting this blog for the last few days, my life has been extremely hectic.
So a quick post to let you all know that Adam has had a perfect flight home.  The team that flew him were very pleased with it all, he had a small amount of sedation at one point but aside from that all went well.  The worst part was the ambulance from Pattaya to Bangkok.

He was admitted to LGI this morning at around 10am, and they are settling him in there & transferring notes etc.

Visitors not allowed at present, but I think we can all respect that.

Andrew & Adele are exhausted but obviously relieved.

...and so begins stage two of this whole campaign.

Andrew & Adele update 21/06/12

Hi All 


Adam once again is making good progress. They have identified the bacteria that is causing his temperature to keep going up and down. The doctor described as "not ife threatening but stubborn" and one that takes a week or so of treatment. It is not anything that would affect his transfer.
The time off the ventilator is being steadily increased. There is a lot of eye movement and now some head and arm movement.
We are spending as much time as possible talking to him and reading to him.
We will be at the hospital again in just over an hour and will send another update later.

Adam's flight home delayed

We have received a set back with the air ambulance. A doctor and specialist nurses are needed for the full transfer and one of the nurses has fallen ill. This is very speciliased equipment and a qualified replacement nurse cannot be found. the transfer is therefore delayed until Sunday evening. Adele was devastated by the news, but there is little that we can do about it.Please all pray for our safe journey home on Sunday

    • Neil Clappison I hope Adele is ok Andrew, try to hold on just a little longer. It's better that they do it when they are totally ready rather than take any undue risk.
