Saturday 2nd June
The doctor explained to us that they measure pressure inside
the skull from brain swelling in cm (of something) and after the attack the
pressure was 30cm, it s now down to 12 cm and anything below 18 is normal. We
do not need to worry about this now.
There is still swelling around the head, but this is fluid
and is not in the brain and can be drained off and it looked like they had
started doing this.
They have done another brain scan and signs of epilepsy have
stopped and the blood in the brain is dispersing.
Since the operation they now have a machine attached which
allows Adam to do more of the breathing himself. The support of this machine is
being reduced by small amounts every day.
The doctors and nurses say that he is now responding and
they believe he now hears people and music. There are signs of this in his
movements and, heart rate and breathing.
The only negative is his temperature and signs of fever. This
is still a battle and where the main focus is now. The doctors want to get this
down to normal and have it remain there for four or five days before
considering any changes.
But all in all good positive news.
On other fronts there are signs of movement here. Will give
details later when we have some actual results but Lila at the Consul in
Pattaya deserves a mention for all her work and assistance.
