Adam health update
Adam is still fighting the infections. They are not giving him any anti-biotics as they feel his immune system has been overloaded by them over the last few weeks and this bug is very resistant. It is a bit unpleasant as he keeps having quite violent coughing fits and coughing up nasty slimy stuff. However the docs are OK about it. The fact that his body is fighting the bacteria and producing the slime is seen as a good thing and the fact that his chest is strong enough to cough so violently is also seen as a positive. Many patients cannot cough the stuff up.
So that's the nasty bit. On the positive side hand arm and head movement is getting more each day. His grip when he holds onto my hand is very strong. They have had to put a glove on his left handas he keeps trying to grab the tracheotomy tubes and pull them out, so he is aware of these and wants to get rid of them. (he looks like Ali in mittens!) Now he is trying to get the glove off. Stubborn as ever.
He is still in a coma, but we believe there are more and more signs that it is lifting.
