English week at Regents'

Hi Ad, guess what this week is. Its English Week. We have done War of the Words, Theatre Sports and all the old stuff you used to get us doing. Year 7 loved your Guerrilla Poetry. You would have loved it mate.

Tomorrow is our Extravaganza and we have got a big Jackanory Chair like we always wanted for the readings and we are having a staff vs students literature quiz. Brilliant mate, thanks for your inspiration.

Your ideas are making a whole load of different kids love English.

Hope your getting better and we will speak soon. Take care and love to your mum and Dad.

Post from Maria that sums Adam up!

Just recently, I took my husband Grisha to the UK for the first time. I left him to stay with my family in Devon, to study an intensive English course whilst I am back in France working. When we were on our way to England, he was asking me lots of questions about life in the UK, my friends, family etc. and he asked me one question which has stuck in my head.. He asked me "Do you have any friends in England who are nice and fun and crazy and naughty..... you know...... like Adam"? And I thought about it for a while, and how much of an impression that Adam had made on Grisha, after only having met him once in Thailand, and about all Adam's wonderful qualities... And I had to tell him, "No, I'm sorry honey, but there is no one quite like Adam. He really is one of a kind."

Some good news...

We have had a meeting with the specialist and the team at Woodlands.
Work on the trach is going well and theyare now starting to cap it off for short periods, building up the time over the next few weeks. If this goes well they will then be able to remove the trach completely.
The consultant stressed the severity of Adam's injuries, but despite this all the staff report that they are now getting regular and significant responses from him, which is great news.
He is really poular witht the nurses, and I dont know how he does it but his sense of humour still gets through and makes everyone smile.
We are really pleased with how things are going, we are still moving forward.
