A weekly update...

Just a quick round up of the week's events for you all:

Adam has had his feeding tube re-routed so it now goes straight into his stomach rather than through his nose & down his throat, which is much more comfortable for him, he seems pleased with that!

Everytime I go to see him he's asleep (as I can only go after work & he's usually tired due to physio), however during the daytime visits Andrew & Adele have been seeing some really good responses from him, his determination & strength is really showing through, you can't help but admire him for it. Hopefully I can go today (Sunday) & catch him awake!

Sean Henry Tinsley, the man accused of attacking Adam with intent to kill is still on bail, free to do as he pleases. We are trying to discover if he is still in Thailand or has already disappeared.

When Adam was coming round from his anaesthetic from the feeding change op, Andrew saw a change in him which sparked an idea, based on some research he'd done previously - I'll let him tell you about that though...

Andrew & Adele are waiting to see the Dr's in charge of Adam's case (they've had planned meetings but emergency cases coming in has meant the Dr's couldn't attend), to get more detailed information about everything, i.e. the damage done, diagnosis, plans short term & long term.

Pafan, Ben & Nidd have now returned home to Thailand after visiting for just over 2 weeks, everyone had a wonderful time and luckily the weather helped us out after a rainy start! Andrew & Adele showed them the sights of Yorkshire & they met lots of new friends, and of course visited Adam in hospital.

Katie Jones is now on her way to the top of Kilimanjaro in a fundraising & personal quest. Details are here:https://www.facebook.com/events/396292430431306/
At 10pm (UK time) Wednesday she'll be making the ascent to the top, inspired by Adam's strength throughout the last year I'm 100% confident she'll make it.
Please donate if you can, every little helps.

When Katie returns we plan to (finally) get the online auction going for the rest of the prizes from PickleAid - sorry it's taken us so long, other issues have taken precedent.

Thank-you for all the love & support you've all shown so far, I know Andrew & Adele take a lot of strength from it and they wouldn't have got through the toughest moments of the last 10 weeks without you all. We'll continue to keep you informed of events as best we can, especially Adam's progress of course. Let's keep it going everyone, for our friend Adam.
