Financial brief

A quick update about money, thank-you to Katie for this info, & of course Andrew & Adele. There will be a more detailed breakdown to come in the next week or so, but we just wanted to put things in perspective about the whole fundraising campaign.
Shortly after this whole thing began, once I realised it's potential, I decided that if there is any justice in this world, the very LEAST that is to be expected & is my goal for the campaign, is that Adam, Ben, Andrew & Adele shouldn't be out of pocket. After everything they've gone through, everything they have lost & paid for in so many other ways already, for them to have to pay the huge sums of money just to keep Adam alive is simply not right.
Adam's rehabilitation is going to be long & hard. He had a very reputable, well respected job, he has a son to look after & school, & his ability to pay for this has been taken away through no fault of his own.

SO,
we have so far raised approximately £43,000, plus an estimated £27,000 from Thailand. Making approx £70,000.
Amazing eh. In fact it's truly stunning.

The hospital bills (this is an estimation - more detailed stats will follow) were in the region of £50,000
The medical repatriation was £68,000
Adam's lost income to date & future - incalculable
Adam's rehabilitation - incalculable
Ben's schooling & living maintenance - incalculable
Andrew & Adele dropping their lives for 6 weeks - lost income, emergency flights - incalculable
Andrew & Adele having to modify their house for Adam & his rehabilitation (calculable but we don't know figures yet)

So from the calculable cost alone we are still £50,000 short.
That's £50,000 that Andrew & Adele have to find & pay for a random attack on their son, what would have been £120,000 if it wasn't for you good people - PLUS the incalculable costs.

I'm not happy with that, & I'm gonna keep going until they've at least broken even - I really don't think that's too much to ask.
