health frights

Adam is currently in the intesive care unit in York hospital. He was taken there Tuesday afternoon. On moday afternoon he had an operation to close his tracheostemy. On Tuesday his face and neck started swelling, He was taken to A&E late Tuesday afternoon. By the time we arrived at A&E his neck and face were very swollen and he was having great difficulty breathing. We were very concerened that he was not going to pull through. He is now in intensive care, sedated and breathing with the aid of a ventilator. We believe that following the operation air is escaping from his trachea and into his skin tissue causing the swelling and then blocking off his breathing.
He is still very ill, but stable.I will post more news as and when we have it. Andrew
